Our Ranch Pools come in 6’, 8’, or 10’ (10’ only available in Texas) widths and are 2’ tall, offering the perfect combination of style, affordability, and low-maintenance convenience. Our pools are designed to be durable and easy to care for. With a Ranch Pool in your yard, you can soak in the pool, lounge on the ledge with your feet in the water, stay cool all day long, and provide a great safe space for children.
A 6’ pool seats 2-4 adults, an 8’ pool holds 4-6 adults, and a 10’ pool fits 6-8+ adults.
Any part of the steel tank that touches water will not get too hot in the direct sun. In direct sunlight, the top lip of the steel tank can get hot. (If you have a Premium Ranch Pool, you don’t have to worry about this.)
We suggest keeping your pool at least partially shaded with a tree, umbrella, or hanging shade. On the hottest days, if in direct 100-degree sunlight, water can reach a lukewarm bath water temperature. The best solution is to use shade to your advantage!
Other ideas to keep your Ranch Pool refreshing in the hottest temperatures:
Our Classic Pools are made from galvanized steel, coated in protective zinc to prevent corrosion. These tanks are designed to hold water. In time, the addition of chlorine will accelerate the deterioration of the protective coating and eventually, galvanized steel will start to corrode.
If you’ve purchased our Premium Pool Package, our pools are rust-free for their lifetime.
All pools come with a one-year manufacturer’s pump warranty. We offer onsite support for any issues that arise due to faulty installation within 21 days of installation in Texas.
When you purchase a Ranch Pool, you’ll receive a video and written instructions for maintenance and any common issues that may arise. Leaks from hosing, from your filter pump, or from where inlets or outlets meet your pool can be easily addressed and fixed via a phone call or email to our team.
For detailed information on your filter pump instructions, please refer to the brochure or Owner’s Manual. You may register your Waterway filter pump by clicking here.

1. Solid, level ground.
Your Ranch Pool will weigh nearly 6,000 lbs when filled with water, so it must be placed on solid, level ground. A balcony or deck is not suitable for this weight. You’ll also need level ground for the 2’ x 3’ filter pump.
We recommend professional leveling if possible. However, if you’re leveling the space yourself, use a long level or a straight 2x4 with a level on top to check from multiple directions.
2. Clear pathway for delivery.
Please ensure that there is a clear pathway at least 2ft wide and 6–10ft tall (depending on your pool’s diameter) for delivery. If the pathway is obstructed and we cannot roll the pool to your site, we may leave it at the nearest accessible location or take it back without a refund.
3. Outdoor electricity
You’ll need a 120V outlet within 25ft of your pool site for the filter pump. If you’re adding a heater, you’ll need an additional 120V outlet within 5ft—which may require hiring an electrician. Please see our Electrical Requirements section below for more details!

We recommend hiring an electrician to ensure proper, safe installation.

Pump Basket Cleaning
Cleaning your pump basket regularly is important. Clogged baskets make your pump have to work harder to cycle the water, decreasing the life and stressing the seals of your pump.
To clean your pump, follow these directions:
Chemistry
⚠️ If you don’t have a liner, do NOT place chlorine tablets directly in your pool. Place tablets in the chlorine dispenser provided and keep the dispenser fully closed to allow the chlorine to release slowly through the holes in the bottom.
For best results, chlorinate in the morning or evening when the pool is out of direct sunlight.
⚠️ If you do not have a liner, do NOT use powdered pool shock, muriatic acid, algaecide, or clarifiers on your Ranch Pool. These can damage the galvanized steel coating, leading to corrosion in your equipment.
⚠️ Do not mix chlorine and bromine in water. This can cause a dangerous chemical reaction. If you plan to switch from one to the other, drain and clean your tank and perform a line flush for safety.
In the cooler months, you will use much less chlorine to keep your pool clean. We recommend one 1” chlorine tablet every two weeks or as little as one tab per month. Supplement with liquid chlorine as needed (1–2 cups every other week), especially if your pool will be used during the winter months.
If winters in your area are mild, we recommend keeping your Ranch Pool filled with water throughout the winter and continuing water pumping throughout the year.
If you live in a colder climate where freezing temperatures last for more than a few days at a time, we recommend draining and winterizing your Ranch Pool.
Stagnant water can freeze, expand, and as a result, damage your stock tank pool. If experiencing a light freeze during the winter months, follow these instructions to keep your stock tank pool protected:
Our 6’ and 8’ premium pools with a liner work great with our heaters. In colder weather—under 50 degrees—it can be difficult to heat your 6’ or 8’ pool with a 110V heater to a temperature above 90 degrees.
Our 10’ premium pool holds more than 1,000 gallons of water and we do not recommend our heater for this size.
Regardless of which stock tank pool you have, we recommend purchasing our inflatable cover for extra insulation to keep your pool warm.
Yes! Both our inflatable and soft covers come with a 90-day warranty that protects against any leaks due to shipping or manufacturer defects. Once you receive your cover, we recommend that you inflate it at some point during the first 90 days to make sure the cover has arrived in good condition.
Our covers also include an easy-to-use patch kit for any issues that might arise in the future.
Our inflatable cover kit includes:
Yes! Our premium inflatable cover will help insulate your stock tank pool—ideal for keeping the water nice and warm when you have a heater!
We offer free nationwide shipping and delivery to all states in the U.S.
Our 6’ and 8’ premium pool packages ship nationwide. These pools are delivered pre-assembled—which means no professional installation is necessary. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions and helpful videos on how to set up your Ranch Pool. It takes less than 30 minutes!
